T cells are like a special forces team, they attach to invaders with unlocked doors and destroy. These are all leukocytes. NK cells, or Natural Killers cells, dispose of infected cells that were mutated in the process of Mitosis. After the pathogen is destroyed, some leukocytes stay around the infected area and clean up. Finally, the extra B or T cells self destruct so that all they don’t waste resources.
